Privacy Policy

The short version
SlateVoice is built so that your voice and your transcriptions never leave your computer. The app has no account system, no telemetry, and no cloud processing. This policy explains the little data we do handle — which relates only to our website and purchases, never to your dictation.
The desktop application
- Speech recognition runs entirely on your device. Audio is processed locally and is never transmitted to us or anyone else.
- Your transcription history is stored only on your own disk. You can delete it at any time from within the app.
- The app contains no analytics, tracking, or telemetry, and does not require an account or login.
- The app connects to the internet only to download speech models you request and to check for software updates. These requests do not include personal data.
Purchases
When you buy a license, payment is processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We receive your email address and order details so we can deliver your download and provide support. We do not see or store your full card details. We do not sell or share your information with third parties for marketing.
The website
Our website uses basic, privacy-respecting analytics (aggregate page views) to understand how many people visit. We do not build individual profiles or track you across other sites.
Emails
We email you your purchase receipt and download link. We may occasionally email important product updates. You can ask us to delete your purchase records (subject to legal bookkeeping requirements) at any time.
